When is the best time to visit NZ?

NZ is a great destination to visit anytime of the year. Seasonal temperatures vary by about 10 degrees Celsius over most of the country.

Winter = June - end of August the skiing is great

Summer = Dec - end of Feb ideal time for a beach holiday

Do I need a passport or visa to travel to NZ?

All visitors to NZ must have a passport valid for at least 3 months from the date they intend to leave. Visas are generally not required for stays less than 3 months, but it does pay to check out NEW ZEALAND IMMIGRATION on line.

What can I do in NZ?

NZ has a huge selection of activities. Hike through native bush, kayak in sparkling rivers, conquer mountains, and bathe in thermal pools. Walk glaciers, ride a jet boat and abseil down glowworm caves.....

There are plenty of activites you can experience with your family too, such as dolphin watching and skiing. Making NZ a popular family destination.

How can I experience the Maori culture?

Go walking with a Maori guide, visit a Marae, sample the flavors of a traditional Hangi, see carving, weaving and traditional performance. These are just a few.

What do I need to know about driving in NZ?

New Zealanders drive on the left hand side of the road. All visitors will hiring a vehicle will be asked to provide their home country Licence, if their Licence is in a foreign language an International Drivers permit or English translation is required.

The speed limit is 50km (30 mph) in built up urban areas and 100km (60 mph) in motorways and open roads.

Seat belts must be worn at all times, and helmets are required for motorcyclists and their passengers.

What should I look for when choosing a campervan to rent for my holiday?

Decide the size of the vehicle you need. 2 Berth non shower and toilet or 2 + 2 shower and toilet for 2 adults and 2 small children.

How do I know where to find the campsites around NZ?

We provide campground guides inside your vehicle. At Eurocampers we can book campgrounds for you before you arrive. We can personally deliver you to the campsite on your first night; your vehicle will be already set up for you to relax in after your arrival, no need to battle the traffic with Jet lag!
